Everything

I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about “The Secret.” If you don’t know about it, it’s a movie and book that essentially says that the Law of Attraction is fundamental in the universe. And it has a modern understanding of that law: the energy you emit calls forth corresponding energy from the universe. I can explain this in very simple mathematical terms (I’m a mathematician).

The universe is everything (I’ll use symbols – Let’s call you Y and let’s call everything E. When we add together two sets, that’s a union. Mathematically, call that U. And the symbol “~” means not. So E = Y U ~Y – Everything is you plus not-you. Simple.

Now change You. Then, since Everything doesn’t change, Not You must also change. If you emit a particular energy, the rest of the universe must respond to it. What you put out you get back.

The question is what can you do to put out what you want to get back? This is so simple that you cannot fake it. What you put out has to be authentic.

That simple equation also shows you that ‘what’ is significant and ‘how’ is irrelevant. If you authentically put out energy for wealth, you do not have to figure out how to get wealthy; it will be figured out for you.

I’ll be writing more about this.

The mountain in the distance
dominates the sky.
It diminishes in size
as I go further away
and grows even smaller
as I cup my hands and
look through laced fingers.
